Drumming, Drumming, Drumming

We have done several drumming activities this spring.

We started out by reading Max Found Two Sticks, about a little boy who drums out his words on things he finds like boxes, bottles, garbage cans, etc.  Then we drummed on a lot of different materials to see how each one sounded different from the others:

We've pretended to be aliens and had "alien conversations", and hunted space aliens with our light sabers.  (flashlights wrapped in colored paper).  You'll be happy to know that we caught them all and sent them straight back into outer space!
